FINANCIAL AID

PayPal ButtonPayPal Button

FLEX Performing Arts is committed to not turning any student away for inability to pay. We want to work with our families to make long-term, high-level dance and theatrical education possible for everyone.

Our financial aid is need-based and awarded on a case-by-case basis through income verification, as available funds allow. Students are typically awarded 100%, 75%, or 50%  in tuition assistance per registered session(s). More information about our financial aid program can be found in the FAQs below.

If you would like to submit an application, please fill out our form below.

We are currently accepting financial aid applications for the 2023 season. Generally, funds are reserved for those students under the age of 18, but students over 18 may also apply.

Frequently Asked Questions

If I received financial aid in the past, do I need to reapply now?

Yes. All students interested in our financial aid program, new or returning, will need to reapply via our online application form.

Can I apply for financial aid in person?

No, at this time FLEX Performing Arts is only accepting applications via our online application form.

When should I expect to hear back after submitting my financial aid application?

Please allow 3-5 business days for FLEX Performing Arts to review and approve your application.

Should I enroll in a class or camp before or after applying for financial aid?

We recommend that you submit an application and receive a decision first before enrolling.

I want to take several different classes. Can I receive financial aid for multiple classes per session?

At this time FLEX Performing Arts is only able to award financial aid on tuition costs for one class registration per session per recipient. This can vary depending on availability of funds and/or at the discretion of FLEX.

What if I did not file tax returns last year or requested an extension?

If you were not required to file at all, please add a short explanation to your application or attach any of the other mentioned documents. If you have an extension, please upload the most recent year that is available and let us know if it does or does not represent your current situation.

Are there eligibility requirements to receive financial aid?

Our financial aid program is primarily income-based but is entirely need-based; we consider both income and extenuating circumstances when awarding financial aid. As mentioned above, all of FLEX Performing Arts' financial aid is awarded on a case-by-case basis through income verification, as available funds allow. Students are typically awarded 100%, 75%, or 50% in tuition assistance per registered session(s). To be awarded tuition assistance across any of our other denominations, the household should fall at or below federal “very low-income” thresholds.

What if I do not qualify for financial aid based on my household income?

We recognize that the last couple of years has presented many new financial and logistical challenges for our community members. FLEX Performing Arts is committed to considering all circumstances when awarding financial aid. We encourage all interested dancers and families to submit an online application explaining their needs and circumstances as best as possible.

What if I was not approved for financial aid, or only received a partial award, and I am unable to pay the sum of my balance due?

While we cannot accommodate you as well as we would like to at this time, we would be happy to work with you to make dancing or acting with us possible. We offer customized payment plans for all of our tuition fees. If you need assistance, please contact financialaid@flexperformingarts.com as soon as possible.

Can my financial aid be revoked?

Yes. If we determine that you are not following the rules, standards, and/ or protocols of the studio including, but not limited to, behavior, dress code or you are not consistently showing up for the class, then we reserve the right to permanently nullify the financial aid.

Who do I talk to if I have any questions or concerns about my financial aid application or award?
